Beginner Questions
What GSM is best for beginners?
Lightweight paper (often ~70–80gsm) is easiest to fold and most forgiving — ideal for learning clean creases.
Is thicker paper better?
Not at the beginning. Start with Kami, then move to Tant when you want a crisper, more structured finish.
How many sheets do I need?
Most traditional models use one sheet. Modular origami uses multiple sheets of the same size (often 12–30+).
What size should I start with?
15cm × 15cm is the most versatile beginner size. Once confident, try 25–35cm for larger display pieces.
